2024 Ford Bronco: Specs and Photos

The 2024 Ford Bronco Launches in Southeast Asia

The Ford Bronco is an SUV model manufactured and marketed by Ford. First introduced in 1966, the Bronco is currently in its sixth generation (2021–present). In this sixth generation, the Bronco is positioned as a mid-size SUV. Previously, it was classified at various times as a compact SUV (1965–1977) and a full-size SUV (1978–1996).

The 2024 Ford Bronco Launches

Since Ford revived the Bronco in 2020, the mid-size SUV lineup has consistently taken the North American market by storm, with demand consistently far outpacing the brand's production capacity. Recognizing the appeal of this off-road SUV, Ford has expanded production and sales to Europe and Asia.

Recently, Ford Philippines officially confirmed that it will launch the Ford Bronco SUV in the local market in the near future. This announcement has sparked widespread anticipation that the vehicle will subsequently be distributed across various other Southeast Asian markets.

A total of three Bronco variants will be offered in the Philippines. Notably, the initial shipment will be strictly limited to just 300 units nationwide.

Bronco Exterior

Although both are mid-size SUVs, the Ford Bronco is designed with a stronger emphasis on ruggedness and off-road capability compared to the Ford Everest; consequently, these two models cater to distinct customer segments.

Aggressive Exterior
With a modern design

The Bronco is available in two body styles: 2-door and 4-door. Its segment-exclusive frameless doors can be removed more easily than those of rival models, such as the Jeep Wrangler. Additionally, the Ford Bronco features a removable roof, allowing it to transform into a unique open-top configuration.

Front-End View

The Bronco features a large "Bronco" logo positioned on the grille, replacing the familiar "Ford" emblem seen in USA.

A Wild and Rugged Body

The vehicle boasts the best ground clearance in its segment—standing at 294 mm—along with class-leading water-fording capability of up to 851 mm.

Vehicle side and rear

The rear end—featuring a rugged, tailgate-mounted spare tire—left a particularly strong impression on us. The Bronco’s design strikes a distinct balance between classic and modern aesthetics, perfectly catering to the tastes of today's consumers. It is precisely for this reason that it has become a best-selling model for Ford since its revival in 2020.

Interior
Stepping inside the cabin, the interior features a simple and intuitive design, utilizing materials built to withstand all weather conditions. Notable highlights include rubberized flooring with integrated drain plugs, water-resistant switches, and water-repellent upholstery.

The Ford Bronco is equipped with Ford's latest SYNC 4 infotainment system, featuring a 12-inch touchscreen (an 8-inch screen comes standard) that integrates an off-road navigation system. This system utilizes a 360-degree camera to help drivers easily monitor the terrain, particularly when navigating rocky conditions.

In addition to an interior design that strongly emphasizes its off-road character, the dashboard of the Ford Bronco—soon to be available in the Philippines—also features a smart mounting bar designed to securely hold various devices, such as smartphones and action cameras.

Performance Capabilities
In the U.S. market, the 2024 Ford Bronco offers two EcoBoost engine options: a base 2.3L 4-cylinder engine producing a maximum output of 270 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque; and a 2.7L V6 engine delivering 310 horsepower and 542 Nm of torque. These engines are paired with either a new 7-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission, combined with a 4x4 drivetrain system.

Powerful Performance

Notably, the 2024 Ford Bronco mid-size SUV is also equipped with the Trail Toolbox package, which comprises a suite of technologies designed to help users experience wild off-road adventures. Specific technologies included in the Trail Toolbox package feature Trail Control.

What is Trail Control?
Trail Control is a low-speed cruise control system designed to assist drivers in navigating off-road terrain; Trail Turn Assist facilitates easier steering during off-road maneuvers, while Trail One-Pedal Drive enables users to drive with confidence while crawling over steep slopes or rocky obstacles.
